Rules

1. The game is played with eight standard decks, each consisting of 52 cards.

2. Face cards (Jacks, Queens, and Kings) are all valued at 10 points. Aces can be counted as either 1 or 11, at the discretion of the player.

3. The dealer must hit (take additional cards) until their total is 16 or less and must stand (refrain from taking more cards) on a total of 17 or more.

4. Players can place wagers on up to seven betting spots (or "boxes") on the table. Each spot will have a designated minimum and maximum bet.

5. Each betting box is treated independently, meaning the outcome in one box doesn't influence any of the others.

6. The primary goal is to have a hand value closer to 21 than the dealer's without exceeding it. Any hand total over 21 is considered a "bust" and automatically loses.

7. The optimal hand is called "Blackjack", which consists of an Ace paired with a 10-point card (10, Jack, Queen, or King). This hand typically pays out at 3:2.

8. Players can choose from the following actions based on their dealt cards: hit, stand, split (if dealt two cards of the same value), double down (double the original wager for one more card), or surrender (where allowed, forfeit the hand and retrieve half of their bet).

9. When Aces are split, players typically receive only one additional card for each Ace. A hand resulting from a split Ace combined with a 10-point card is valued at 21, but it isn't considered a Blackjack.

10. If the dealer's face-up card is an Ace, players have the option to purchase "insurance", a side bet wagering that the dealer has a Blackjack.

11. The insurance bet is generally up to half of the player's original wager on the respective hand.

12. If the dealer does have a Blackjack, insurance bets are paid out at 2:1.

Insurance

• When the dealer's face-up card is an Ace, players have the option to take insurance against the possibility of the dealer having Blackjack.

• The maximum insurance amount is typically up to half of the player's original wager on the respective hand.

• If the player has Blackjack and the dealer shows an Ace, they can choose to accept "even money" (a 1:1 payout) or continue with the round to see if the dealer also has Blackjack.

• Regardless of the outcome of the player's hand, the insurance bet is settled based on whether the dealer has Blackjack.

• If the dealer does have Blackjack, the insurance is paid at 2:1.

• Multiple players can wager on a single box, but only the controlling player (or the box owner) makes decisions regarding that hand. The combined wagers on a single box should not exceed the table's maximum bet limit.
